Erstwhile Ladies: part 1
First in a three part illustration series that I did last year to commemorate the Erstwhile series ending. I wear my anime roots on my sleeve and I thought it might be fun to do some anime-inspired group portraits that would show off some of the many awesome female characters in each of our stories!
All of the ladies were from the stories I adapted. I ended up running a bit short of subjects because I adapted so many stories that starred animals instead of humans so I tried to get creative 😉 Also threw one of my villainnesses in because she’s just misunderstood okay. (Allerleirauh is in the front because she’s from the very first comic I did in the series :3)
Media is marker on watercolor paper. It’s been ages since I used marker and it was fun to dip my toe in!
