“Battle Damage”
I’m forever fascinated by the idea of what injuries might linger on magical girls after the fight is over and they transform back. I know it’s implied they have magical healing but also probably a shocking amount of skill with gauze for your average 14 year old.
I decided to explore this idea with Minako since in every canon she goes it alone for a stretch of time without a team to cheer her on or help her nurse her wounds.
Studied some Sailor Moon classic screenshots for color and background inspiration. I always forget how painterly and abstract the night scenes are, it was fun to get into that a little.
