Magical Girl May 28 & 29: Akazukin Chacha!
I loved this show when I was a kid. I have no idea if it ages well (a magical gag a day comedy with a magical girl thrown in for good measure) but I thought it was great at the time. Chacha’s magical girl form, Magical Princess, actually has a fantastic character design that was super fun to paint.
I had a vague memory that there was an episode early on where Chacha’s rival, Marine the mermaid, basically turned herself into a magical mer-girl for hijinks and wikipedia backs me up on this, so I painted her as well!
