Magical Girl May 3, 4, & 5
Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu from Magic Knight Rayearth! One of the very first anime I saw after Sailormoon and still one of my favorites to this day 🙂 Hikaru remains my favorite but they’re all such great characters.
I wanted to highlight some of the different strengths of each of them in my paintings. It’s funny but I never really focused on the ways they were each designed to mirror their element (other than the color coding) and it was cool to emphasize all the wildness to Hikaru or the straight angular shapes for Umi or the softness for Fuu.
