So I got you for the fandom tax event and your fic DELIGHTED me. I loved your voice for Pluto and the ways she grapples with explaining time were so compelling. When she starts describing time as parceled out through the overlapping passage of moon royalty it gave me such a strong feeling that I’ve been toying with how to illustrate it for the better part of a week.
I love that her parade of visitors feels unimportant and everyday but also wearying. A montage of things happening in their own order, but ultimately just seconds on a clock.
Pluto and her gate are the solid and real center here, and her visitors are overlapping shades. I wanted the feeling of something beyond the series itself so after drawing ChibiUsa and Usagi I also added a third figure inspired by Small Lady but ultimately meant to feel like some far future or far past.
