This whole commission series originated with a joke about Roy lighting the shamash candle at Hanukkah and spiralled from there. As the source idea I needed him to be perfect. I needed the expression and the lighting on his face and the little snappy hand pose to be just right to sell it. I spent far too long on the internet looking up screengrabs of how they draw him snapping so the technique would be correct.
I get a little ridiculous on my tinies sometimes, it’s part of their artisinal charm.
