My piece for the Music is Magic Jem zine! I was so thrilled to be assigned Raya, I LOVE her character in the IDW comic 🙂 Her profile lists young adult novels as one of her guilty pleasures so I wanted to build a scene of her having a low key day away from music drama with a good book in hand.
The color in the comic is so strong and so bright, I enjoyed challenging myself to use a similar color palette in my piece.
