I saw the most stunning photo of a pair of Gila woodpeckers by user onlyveesaz.bsky.social and with his consent I used it as the inspiration for this painting.
I really love how the colors turned out on the Saguaro and the bright blue sky vs the sharp black and white of the bird wings.
