July Bird Whisperer: Green-tailed Sunbird
Look at this little lad, he’s so charming! I loved the vibrant colors (the little bandana around the throat!) and the little dots around his eye and I determined to keep and spotlight both in my painting.
I am disproportionately pleased with the background. Gradients are a struggle for me to paint without them looking chopping and I think the blend from green to ocre to white turned out really nice here.
