Chise and Elias from Ancient Magus Bride. I love these two and I was so excited to be given free reign to paint them together for this commission!
The inspiration was Chise returning home to Elias from her transformation into Phoenix mode. I love her as a being of light and life and warmth and burgeoning freedom while he’s grounded and static and lit by her light.
